A taste of Argentina at De Salentein

Argentine fine wines and food in our home country - I know a place! At Landgoed de Salentein, an estate where many noble families were housed throughout the previous centuries, there’s an authentic Argentine wine and food tasting being organized a couple of times a year. So now you know, make sure to not miss out on the next one. You can check the upcoming events at their website.

In the meantime, we’ve visited quite the amount of special events at Landgoed De Salentein. Through the wine tasting masterclasses that are arranged on these days, we got to know everything about the estate and the (history) of the wines in Argentina. This time, we decided to take our little landlord Oscar with us, because… wine not? And how he loved it there!

As always, we tasted a variety of Chardonnay wines, ranging from light to heavy and from good to excellent. The one that stood out to us was definitely the Numina; a golden Chardonnay with intense aromas of pineapple and jasmin. Elegant, creamy and fresh, all at the same sip. With the wines, we tasted some delicious entrecôte prepared on the parrilla. Oscar danced to the live music and pressed grapes with his feet. It’s the perfect high-end place for amusing yourself with quality wines and refined food, while having a fun day out with your kid.
